李弘祺，耶鲁大学历史学博士，台湾清华大学人文社会学院历史研究所讲座教授。过去三十多年间专研中国教育史，从宋代开始，而及于整个传统中国，先后以英文及中文出版多本有关教育的着作，被日本学者誉为“活跃于当今世界治中国教育及科举史之第一人者”。
